The Speaker of the House, Auapaʻau Mulipola Aloitafua, suspended the Opposition Leader, Tuilaepa Sailele Malielegaoi, for 24 hours on Tuesday during the parliamentary sitting after derogatory words were said to the Prime Minister before the break.

The Speaker requested the immediate removal of the opposition leader, effective today.

This is the final sitting of the parliament before the end of the year.

More to come.
