A young girl from the village of Sataoa in Safata, Brazil Oliona Alema, has achieved an exceptional academic milestone that brought immense pride to her family and community.

Brazil was awarded High Standards Academic Excellence, placing her on the Distinction List for Year 10 with an impressive average grade of 85–89.99 at Church College Pesega.

Brazil’s education began at Sataoa Primary School, where she quickly stood out as one of the most outstanding students from Year 1 through Year 8. Her strong foundation paved the way for her entrance into Pesega College, where she continued to excel academically, consistently making her family, siblings, and especially her hardworking parents proud.

"Brazil is so dear to our parents, especially our father. She’s the youngest — the baby of our family. We are so proud of her achievements this year,” said her brother, Allen Alema Tuigamala.

Brazil’s success was further blessed with two tuition scholarships for next year, a huge help for her parents and a sign of the bright future ahead of her.

Her mother, Brazil Fuluulalematoto, shared heartfelt gratitude and joy.

“She has been making us proud since she was young, up until now. The hardworking effort of her father dropping her off at school every morning and picking her up every afternoon is now paying off. Now her father will never get tired of dropping her, because he’s so happy with her achievements.”

Adding to the emotional moment was the presence of her brother Allen, who had returned home after serving his mission in Ghana, Africa. Being able to witness his youngest sister receive her award made the celebration even more special.
