Rosemary Taufaimatagi Opeloge earned one of Leififi College’s highest honours, being named the dux of 2025.

Rosemary openly shared that her educational path was “a bit tough,” but through every challenge, her unwavering faith in God became her greatest strength. “Having faith in God was the greatest blessing ever,” she said.

Her mother spoke with pride, revealing the true resilience behind Rosemary’s success.

“Rosemary has failed so many times, but she always pushed through and tried hard in school,” she said.

Alongside her academic excellence, Rosemary also served as the Head Girl of Leififi College, demonstrating leadership, confidence, and responsibility beyond her years. She proudly hails from Vaoala, representing her family and village with honour.

Rosemary is the first in her family to become a dux at the college level, an achievement that marks a historic and emotional moment for them.

Her grandmother described Rosemary as obedient, loving, and hardworking and highlighted one of her strongest qualities:
“Rosemary is a confident person.”

She added that her prayers have now been answered and that she feels blessed to witness Rosemary’s remarkable achievements.

This year’s Leififi College prize-giving was held inside an unfinished hall, a setting that symbolised progress and hope. When asked how she felt about being the first dux honoured in a half-completed building, Rosemary responded with grace and humility,
“It’s fine—the hall is unfinished now, but after the prize giving, the construction will continue.”
