American Samoa’s Governor, Pulaalii Nikolao Pula and his First Lady Lois Phillips-Pula, and American Samoa’s Senate President, Senator Tuaolo Manaia Eti Tuiletufuga Fruean, along with his wife, Fiapaipai Fruean, arrived in Samoa for the 18th Parliamentary swearing-in on Tuesday.

They arrived on two different flights: Governor Pulaalii and his wife on 5W-STF and the Senate President and his wife on 5W-FAW.

The outgoing caretaker Deputy Prime Minister, Tuala Iosefo Ponifasio, welcomed them at Fagali’i Airport, with security, police, and officials present. In an interview with the Samoa Observer, Tuala said this was his final duty as he steps down from his role as Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Customs and Revenue.
