Court urges clarity on monotaga
Senior Justice Vui Clarence Nelson recommended that the Electoral Commissioner require affidavits for refusals to confirm monotaga, separate sections for traditional and religious monotaga on nomination forms, and harmonisation of Samoan and English versions.

The Electoral Court has made recommendations to the Office of the Electoral Commission (OEC) to bring clarity to candidate qualifications, while also issuing orders on costs following rulings on multiple candidacy challenges last Friday.
