SNPF dividend announcement in July

The Samoa National Provident Fund (SNPF) will announce its 2024/2025 dividend in early July upon completion of its annual financial review, according to an official communication from SNPF’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Lemalu Selesitina Meni-Reti.

The financial audit process is scheduled for completion by 30 June, with the Board of Trustees convening shortly thereafter to finalise dividend details, including payment amounts and distribution timelines.

While specific eligibility criteria and payment timelines have not yet been finalised, past payouts provide insight into what members can expect.

In January, SNPF distributed a special four per cent “Back-to-School Dividend,” amounting to $43 million, to assist over 30,000 contributors with education expenses.

This initiative, distinct from mandatory dividends stipulated by the SNPF Act, demonstrated the Fund’s responsiveness to national priorities.

Upon board approval, the dividend payment process typically commences within three months, with unclaimed amounts automatically reinvested in members’ accounts.

SNPF members are encouraged to monitor official Fund communications through the SNPF portal and authorised channels for confirmation of payment dates and eligibility requirements.

The upcoming declaration continues SNPF’s practice of aligning dividend distributions with financial performance and broader economic objectives.

This approach was previously demonstrated through last year’s 2.4 per cent back-to-school dividend and other targeted disbursements.

The Fund maintains its commitment to transparent communication regarding dividend decisions following the conclusion of necessary governance processes.
