St Paul VI students bring smiles to Mapuifagalele

St Paul VI College from Leulumoega made their inaugural visit to the Mapuifagalele Home for the Aged to offer donations and spend time with the residents.
The Year 12th graduating class prepared a variety of performances for the elderly, too. Their songs and dances brought smiles, as the elderly residents enthusiastically joined in, dancing alongside the students and filling the atmosphere with laughter.
The visit was a heartwarming experience, especially during the final dance, when students bid their farewells.
School principal Mulipola Asiata Tuafoe expressed his gratitude for the collective effort that made the visit possible.
“While we were preparing for our visit, I would always remind the students that ‘the bigger the item is, the bigger the blessings will be,’” he shared.
Due to transportation limitations, only the graduating class of 2025, school prefects, and staff members were able to make the journey.
“It was heartbreaking to see some of the residents in wheelchairs, but overall it’s a blessing for us to be here,” said Mulipola.
The experience has inspired the school to make this act of service an annual tradition, with hopes of returning each year to support the elderly community
Sister Rita, a caregiver, expressed her heartfelt appreciation.
“We are very grateful for the gifts. They are very useful and will be shared among all the residents. What matters most is the joy the group brought today. Making the residents happy is what counts. It’s a blessing for you and for us,” she said.
