There is more to come: Litara
The reigning Miss Samoa and Miss Pacific Island, Litara Ieremia-Allan has been quiet since she was crowned. With about four months left in her reign as Miss Samoa, she revealed that there are more projects coming this month.
"It's been beautiful. It's been a gift, it is been full of service but also a lot of personal growth. I've become more of a tamaitai Samoa than I've always wanted to be. It's been a blessing," she said.
"We have some really exciting projects that we'll be releasing in May. We're excited to get that out, and we've also started on our Anofale program towards the end of this month.
"Otherwise, just visiting our beloved families, a lot of events, seeing our teams and all of the initiatives that have been done. It is hard to believe that the journey is coming to an end soon. But we're excited to finish on a high. So, inviting all Samoans, we've got a lot to come, so please expect more and stay tuned."
She also took the opportunity to wish all the mothers of Samoa and the world a Happy Mother's Day.
"Being a mother is a calling. It's not a job that one can take lightly. So I just want to say a big faamalo to all of our mothers all over Samoa and across the world. You've sacrificed so much for our children," she said.
"I'm here at Satitoa with so many children and I am reminded of how it takes a village to raise one child. To all of our aunties who have become our mothers, our older cousins who've taken up that role too, God bless you. May you always continue to be the glue that keeps our communities together, and continue to pray for you."
