Welcome to the new long weekend - public holidays announced

It is going to be a long weekend starting Friday as the government has announced public holidays on Friday 1 November and Monday 4 November.
Prime Minister Fiame Naomi Mataafa announced Thursday morning at the Thanksgiving Service for the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting.
The holiday provides a break for the civil servants and public who were actively involved with CHOGM, some even working 24-hour shifts.
