Football CEO's status confirmed

After more than a month of speculation, the departure of Galumalemana Ronna Lee as the Chief Executive Officer has been confirmed.
In an interview with the Samoa Observer, FFS President Papalii Samuel Petaia said they will be advertising the vacant position and hope to have it filled by December.
Galumalemana was appointed to the CEO position in January with her contract for a three-year term that started in February. This contract was abruptly ended in June. Papalii had then said the issue was private.
On Thursday he said, "We just decided that we’d part ways with her and then move on with what we need to be done," and emphasised that it is "business as usual" for the FFS.
Papalii confirmed that the C.E.O position will soon be open for applications before the official opening of its multi-million tala facilities next to Apia Park.
Regarding the selection process, Papalii mentioned that if the initial interviews do not generate a suitable candidate, they will continue the recruitment process until they find the right fit.
"We like someone in particular, but if it doesn't work, then we'll re-advertise and continue the process until we get someone,” he said.
The FFS community eagerly anticipates the appointment of a new CEO to oversee the organisation's operations and support the upcoming initiatives.
Until such time, the Federation's Technical Advisor Ravinesh Kumar remains in an acting capacity.
