The new Chief Executive Officer for the Samoa Post Office Limited, Tavui Mikaele Lemisio is humbled with his appointment acknowledging his late parents and family. 

The Cabinet has endorsed the appointment of Tavui to head the Samoa Post Office for the next three years taking over from his predecessor, Tupai Tupe Ualolo. 

Tupai held the post for 16 consecutive years and did not reapply for the position that has been vacant for sometime. 

Tavui’s appointment is confirmed in a Cabinet Directive that noted a Cabinet meeting convened on 12^th June to discuss the head of the Samoa Post Office position and endorsed the new C.E.O. appointee. 

The Attorney General’s Office has been instructed to prepare a warrant of appointment to be signed by the Head of State and the Ministry of Public Enterprises is to arrange for the contract. 

When the Samoa Observer contacted Tavui for a comment he said his family was about to have a prayer service to give thanks.  

He thanked God for his appointment and made special mention of his late father and mother, his family, wife, and children who have been his support system. 

It is still early days for Tavui in his new position and he believes in working collaboratively with the staff to serve Samoa and uphold the vision and mission of the office. 

He is a father of two boys and resides with his family at Sinamoga Alafua and has roots in Satupaitea, Palauli, Fogasavaii, Lotofaga, Saleimoa, Nofoalii and Saleaumua. 

Tavui is no stranger in the sporting industry where he plays a pivotal role in the development of sports from leadership role to being at the forefront in training young athletes. 

He was a Board Member of the Samoa Association of Sports and National Olympic Committee from 2016 to 2021, he is a member of the Samoa Institute of Accountant and held finance advisor position in Rugby League Samoa. 

Tavui is also a strong supporter of Marist Sports Club and is a certified boxing coach and trainer.  

He is currently studying for his Masters of Business Administration at the University South Pacific, Samoa Campus, and holds a Bachelor in Commerce majoring in Accounting and Management.
