It's official.

The man who has been at the helm of the Samoa National Provident Fund (S.N.P.F.) for the last six years will not return to his position after the selection panel notified him on Tuesday morning that he was not shortlisted for interview.

The panel is conducting interviews for the Chief Executive Officer's position.

Pauli Prince Suhren whose contract ended on 6 April this year re-applied for the position the first time it was advertised on the Ministry of Public Enterprises (M.P.E.) website.

However, the position was re-advertised, after the Chairman and Board of S.N.P.F. made the call for the position to be re-advertised.

All interested applicants were asked to make submissions.

The Chairman of the S.N.P.F. Papali'i Panoa Moala told the Samoa Observer that the main reason why they re-advertised the position was that they only received two applications the first time it was advertised.

However, he confirmed that when the position was advertised again, eight people expressed interest, including Pauli.

Pauli was informed on Tuesday that the selection panel has considered and assessed his application against the position's competencies and was advised that he was not shortlisted for an interview.

He was also asked to address any further questions he had pertaining to the outcome of the shortlisting process to the chairman and selection panel.

When contacted for a comment, Pauli said "I will be back, some way, some how".

This is a developing story.....
