School brawl erupts at bus depot

Another massive school brawl broke out between students from two colleges at the bus stop area next to Savalalo market as bystanders looked on this afternoon.

A video captured by an onlooker showed students from Lefifi College and Saint Joseph’s College swinging wildly at each other as members of the public scramble for cover away from the commotion.

The fight escalated further as rocks were heard hitting the iron roofing of the bus shelters as students from both schools exchange blows with others who were not in uniform also joining the melee.

The fight soon shifted onto the road in front of the buses, disrupting traffic which could have turned worse. This comes almost three months after the same two schools were involved in a confrontation at the same location.

Police were soon on the scene to stop the fight and also detained and escorted a few to the police station. An ambulance was seen in town blazing past vehicles which could only suggest that someone had been hurt during the school brawl.

A second video uploaded on to social media implies that the fight started at the Fugalei bus stop before the big brawl down at the Savalalo bus stop.

The condition of the students has not yet been confirmed by the Samoa Observer.

This is a developing story....
