FAST mosquito farms and dengue
Dear Editor,
Over 2400 reported patients are at our hospital from dengue fever, a number that will likely have increased by the time this letter is published.
The Ministry of Health yesterday revealed the passing of the third fatality so far with the passing of a five-year-old girl earlier this week.
We all know that dengue fever is caused by mosquitoes, and we need to ask where the mosquitos came from.
These mosquitoes were farmed by the Faatuatua i le Atua Samoa ua Tasi Party Government in their beautifications of villages using a certain plant type.
They also used car tyres which are famous for collecting rainwater used by mosquitos as their breeding ground.
Can we suggest to the FAST Chairman La’auli and his able followers to show some leadership initiative?
They should go clean up their FAST tyres and transport all their tyres to our rubbish dump at Tafaigata.
It was La’auli, constantly interrupting Parliament out of order, who proudly introduced all kinds of strange ideas to develop Samoa.
