Pauga secures Vaimauga No.1 seat

Faatuatua i le Atua Samoa ua Tasi party (FAST) candidate Pauga Talalelei Pauga secured the Vaimauga No.1 seat with 1231 valid votes after the official results of the final count early Tuesday morning. 

The other three candidates who vied for the seat included Fataalii Tofele Moke of the Samoa Uniting Party (SUP), who secured 786 votes, independent candidate Safai Iosua Selesele, who secured 546, and Sulamanaia Tauiliili Tuivasa of the Human Rights Protection Party (HRPP) with 1096 votes.

Vaimauga No.3's total valid votes amounted to 3659, while informal votes were 14.

Special votes counted were 255, with one special vote set aside.

There were two plus apparent dual votes and 239 pre-polling votes.
