While telecommunication is not the forte of the power suppliers, it might be worth to give its phone lines a check. There seems to be no answer most times, or when it is transferred, it goes unanswered. The technical check might show that the error could be human.

POCKETS

The depth of the government’s coffers could be deeper than thought. A $9 million upgrade was given to a tender, which was previously given at $5 million. And all that money is the government’s own. It is not borrowed.

SNAKES

More snakes have been sighted. A young woman uploaded a video of a snake on the road. It was the sighting of yet another Pacific Boa, a snake that is harmless to humans. It shows a healthy ecosystem.

FERRY

The nation’s ‘Titanic’ still sits in Australia, and the longer it stays there, the more cost it incurs. The last time it was checked, the $13 million had become $20 million. It could be more now, but this could not be an issue as the coffers are quite deep.

HANTAVIRUS

More than two dozen passengers from at least 12 countries, including a New Zealander, disembarked from a cruise ship struck by a deadly hantavirus outbreak on 24 April at a neighbouring Pacific island— nearly two weeks after the first passenger died onboard, according to the ship operator and Dutch authorities.
