Between the Lines

NO FUNDS

In three months, this financial year will come to an end. One constituency is yet to receive its funds. Great start to developing all of Samoa equally.

SCHOOL MONEY

The grants to schools will be distributed through the district offices. There is no word when this money will be given. The first term has now ended. Many school heads are hoping the new term brings good news.

ACCIDENT

No one was injured in a head-on collision along the main highway in Vaitele on Saturday. Many who were crossing the accident scene were left wondering how the collision could have taken place.

KUDOS

The emergency responders from the fire station are often not thanked enough for all the work that they do. After the accident along the highway, it was the fire team that swept away all the debris from the road, preventing other mishaps. Job well done.

ROBBERY

If it is not a genuine mistake, then it’s robbery. Some big supermarkets have different prices on the shelf and different prices at the checkout counter. Please keep a watch.

INVESTMENT

As the end of the financial year for the government nears, many ministries would have started to finalise their financial reports and start working on a wish list for the new year. Speed cameras could be a worthwhile investment.
