BUS TERMINAL

Bus operators and commuters want to know when the Savalalo Bus Terminal will be opened. Many were under the impression that it would open after the ribbon was cut by the New Zealand Prime Minister.

WOMEN’S QUOTA

One by-election is confirmed, and another might happen later this year. While the game of crossing the floor continues, the quota for the number of women in parliament remains unfilled.

OVERCROWDING

More drug arrests are taking place, and more people are being kept in custody. This is good work in the fight against drugs, but it is creating an overcrowding problem at the local jail.

CARD OR CASH

Payment for goods and services should be the same whether one pays cash or through cards. The surcharge on card payments is something the banks and the regulators should look at.

UNSAFE

Infants popping half their bodies outside of moving vehicles is dangerous. A few were observed this week. It was also interesting to see a minivan filled with at least six children, while the driver was texting while driving along the main highway.

RUGBY

A new rugby academy is opening its doors and it's linked to a rugby family who have created a dynasty in the sport. Congratulations on the new venture, and hopefully, we get to see more rugby stars making a name for themselves.
