Residents in some areas were panicking that garbage collection teams had forgotten their addresses, as rubbish had started to pile up. This is something experienced every year, but that does not mean it should be normalised.

DETAINED

Immigrants are being detained in the United States under the Trump administration. It would be interesting to know if any Samoans are being held. The government must know how many are being sent back, or is it a surprise until they land at Faleolo?

RELEASED

Kudos to a fishing trip operator, as all catches are released. According to the operator, all the fish were released to make babies and to be caught another day.

IRONY

An irony has been pointed out. New Zealand allows 3.2 billion people from outside the Pacific visa-free travel, while the toughest restriction is imposed on the 16 million from the Pacific.
