With the leader of the nation away on important business, the superannuation dividend announcement could be delayed, and so could be the announcement of district chairs.

One does not have to look very far to see who will be coming in as the next top government legal eagle. If previous appointments are an indicator of how selection will be made, it definitely will not be on merit.

It is time for the police to start wearing body cameras. It is not for their safety but for the public’s. A few reports of the use of excessive force during arrests have emerged.

Some parents are wondering why school uniforms are getting expensive each year. The duty on imported clothes has remained the same.

RECYCLING WATER

A reason given by the government for an embassy in Jerusalem is to access technology that allows Israel to recycle 90 per cent of their wastewater. The nation will be grateful for that, but more grateful would be families who are still without tap water and those who cannot drink the water from the taps.
