Between the Lines

UNSCRUPOULOUS

Beware of unscrupulous dealers. A family bought a vehicle after finding it advertised online. Two weeks later, the vehicle has ceased to function and the ownership remains unchanged.

RISKY

Toddlers playing next to a busy road without any adults in sight is a recipe for disaster. Even at home, be vigilant and keep an eye on children.

BUDGET

The national budget will be announced at the end of the month. This could be a budget that may please people, after all, the elections are now less than one year away.

DOGS

Children who live 200 metres away from school in Vailele are afraid to walk back home. The dogs in the neighbourhood have been attacking children.

HEALTH PLAN

Last week, Samoa became the first Pacific Island country to develop a National Action Plan for Health Security. Hopefully, that includes plans to improve hospital facilities and hire more medical staff.

CLEAN UP

Kudos to the youth and members of a church group who have been organising clean-ups of the Apia shoreline in town. Please put the litter in bins.
