Local company Taula Beverages has stepped forward to continue its support of the Lupe o le Soaga team and is supplying its men and women teams’ uniforms.

The two teams were presented with their sporting gear by the drinks manufacturer in a ceremony on Tuesday afternoon at the main office of Tauala Beverage at Taufusi.

Lupe o le Soaga Head Coach Paul Ualesi Matamu confirmed the team’s sponsorship by Taula when asked for comment by the Samoa Observer, saying their partnership started last year and they had great results from the 2020 tournament which made it easy for the firm to continue its sponsorship.

"This is the second year of our partnership and we are very grateful for Taula's sponsorship,” he said.

“This year is very different because now they have provided two uniforms for both our men and women”

And the decision for the company to continue its sponsorship this year wasn’t hard as the team had a good performance on the field last year according to Matamu.

“As you know last year all our teams won the National League so I believe this is what made it easier for Taula to continue our partnership.

“We have given them the results that they want to see. Last year they also provided our other Taula t-shirts so we are indeed happy with this help.”

Matamu said Taula has also been a helpful partner in terms of their off-field uniforms and support, especially water bottles distributed on game day.

"The Taula has gone out of their way to cater for us and it helps in building up the morale of the players,” he said.

“Taula did not only help our premier teams but also our young ones who are using the taxi brand.

“It is such a big help for our team and in return we must bring back great results to show our appreciation.”

The support of their village, families, friends and supporters of the Lupe o le Soaga was also great and they are aiming for a great season this year.

"I would like to thank the General Manager of the Taula Beverage, their management and staff for their kind sponsorship, not only that but our village of Maagiagi for their continuous prayers and support as we head into battle this year again,” said Matamu.

“We hope to continuously have great results and a great season this year.”

Lupe o le Soaga were the champions for both the premier women and men’s divisions in 2020 and their women were selected to represent Samoa in the Oceania Football Confederation's Championships League this year.
