B.S.L. Champ of Champs netball set for next week

The Business Systems Limited Champs of Champs netball tournament is all set for next Wednesday and Thursday at the Church College of Pesega netball grounds.

In the Pool A Senior Division the teams include Maluafou College, Safata College, Samoa College, and Church College of Vaiola, Savaii with Don Bosco College, Lefaga College, Palalaua College and Church College of Pesega in Pool B.

In the Intermediate Division, Paul VI College, Mataaevave College, Samoa College and St Mary's College make up the teams while Anoamaa College, Lefaga College, Palauli Sisifo College and Church College of Pesega are in Pool B.

For the Junior Division it is Palauli College, Paul VI College, Samoa College, St Mary's College. For Pool B, Itu-o-Tane College, Lepa Lotofaga College, Robert Louis Stevenson College, and Wesley College.

Samoa Netball executive, Tusi Faasoo-tau Ale, confirmed contacted when contacted by the Samoa Observer that they will have two events running next week, not only the BSL Champ of Champ netball but also their FAST 5 Secondary School tournament.

"We have two events happening next week. We have a fast 5 tournament mixed for Colleges on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Then the Champ of Champs of all schools in Samoa on Wednesday and Thursday," she said.

The Netball Samoa was in Savai'i for the clinics with the schools involved to get them ready and to raise awareness on the rules and policies of netball. 

They also ran clinics on the big island on the principles of netball.

The FAST 5 Secondary School tournament will be held on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday next week and will feature Faleata College Team 1, Faleata College Team 2, LDS Church College Pesega Team 1, LDS Church College Pesega Team 2, Leififi College and Sagaga College.

Netball Samoa, in a post on its official Facebook page on Friday, advised that the games kick off at 8.30am and entry to the gym is free.

"The games start at 8.30 am, entry to the gym is free so come and support the great athleticism and the increased interest in netball from young women and men!"
