The former WBO Champion Lupesoliai Joseph Parker will face interim WBO Oriental Champion Junior Fa from Tonga.

Parker and Fa weighed in on Friday afternoon in preparation for their clash on Saturday night. Parker registered at 118.1 kgs while Fa weighed in at 108.9kgs.

Samoa Observer had the chance to speak with the public on what they want to say to Parker as he prepares for the fight of the century.

“Parker, knock him out. Know that Samoa is behind you all the way. Show him what Samoa is made of. We will cheer for you and we will be watching you from home,” says Taofi Tulia, who is one of Parker’s excited fans.

“Win or lose, we will always be proud of you. Thank you for carrying our flag in whatever fight you take on and for always putting Samoa up high. We wish you the best of luck and we know you will make Samoa proud like you have always done,” says Tomasi Tautua, a boxing enthusiast.

For Tautua he said he is always eager to watch Parker’s fight as he believes the Samoan fighter will never disappoint.

On Saturday night, Parker will go head to head with Fa at the Spark Arena in Auckland New Zealand.

This fight was originally scheduled to take place last year but Tongan boxer Fa had medical issues which delayed the bout.

Lupesoliai's fan page is flooded with training videos and preparations for the big fight.

Parker held the WBO heavyweight title from 2016 to 2018, and previously multiple regional heavyweight championships including the WBO Oriental, Africa, and Oceania titles; as well as the PABA, OPBF, and New Zealand titles.
