Tumua gunning for Origin win
Coach of Tumua, Filifilituna Tovio, wants nothing other than a win when his team locks horn with Puleono in the Island of Origin rugby league clash.
"Our preparations right now are all good," he said. "It's only Saturday that our players are available for our training and we're trying to make the most of it."
The team has only gotten together for the last two weeks, and the countdown has already begun. The first game is set to kick off on Wednesday 04 November 2020.
"This is the first time such an event has taken place in our country and we want to win it."
Their preparations are focused on areas they know needs improvement.
"We want to work on fitness, discipline and just to play to our strengths."
Their biggest challenge is finding the time for everyone to come together for training.
"Many players work some have evening classes. Sometimes during training, some are late, some cannot make it, and some are really busy," said Tovi'o.
"Our goal currently is to win the first match and take it from there."
"We also know that no team is coming to compete and wants to lose. There are three games ahead if we win all those games that would be a blessing for us. We will try our best to win those three games."
