Samoa Rugby Union yet to look at Manu coaching applications

The Samoa Rugby Union (S.R.U.) has yet to look at the applications that have been submitted for the Manu Samoa 15s head coach vacancy.

The deadline for applications for the Manu Samoa 15s head coach vacancy closed last Friday June 26.

In response to questions sent by the Samoa Observer, said they are yet to find time to look at the applications.

"The process for these things take a while and while the applications for the Manu Samoa Head Coach closed last Friday, management have not had a chance to look at the applicants and will not be able to make any statement until the Board have been advised," said the S.R.U. spokesperson in an email.

The position became vacant when Vaeluagaomatagi Steve Jackson's contract with the S.R.U. ended following the 2019 Rugby World Cup in Tokyo. 

The Manu Samoa 7s team also has a head coach vacancy with the deadline for applications this Friday July 3.
