Manu Samoa 7s have set up a Cup quarterfinal against Great Britain at the London leg of the World Sevens Series after a strong display in the pool games, winning three out of three.

The pool games have come with a heavy cost as both halfbacks are out with injuries. Neueli Leitufia broke his wrist while Malo Luteru suffered a concussion against Australia.

Samoa started their pool game with 28-21 win over France, who were finalists last week. It was a strong display by the team which saw them win.

Their second pool game was against Australia who for the last few tournaments had been getting the better of Samoa but not this time as Samoa won 24-14 in a hard fought contest.

In their final pool game, Samoa beat Spain 40-17.

Samoa will take on Great Britain at 10.07pm on Sunday.

In other Cup quarterfinals, Argentina face Ireland, Fiji take on Australia and New Zealand and France set up a replay of last week’s final.
