KlickEx Pacific has announced the appointment of Tepora Laumea–Pupualii as the company's first country manager to run the organisation in the local market.

Ms. Laumea-Pupualii has been working with KlickEx since 1 June 2022 with her appointment recently announced.

Hailing from the villages of Satupaitea, Vailima, Puapua, Manono, Fagaloa, Lotofaga and Saleaumua, she has over 10 years of experience leading customer experience and business solutions teams to implement process improvement and sales growth plans.

A former student of Samoa College, the Country Manager has a strong track record of success and was named Employee of the Year four times in her career to date.

She has previously worked at the telecommunications company Digicel Samoa as the second-in-charge to the Head of Business Solutions from 2016 to 2020.

Most recently Ms. Laumea-Pupualii returned home after spending over 100 days on COVID-19 lockdown in Melbourne where she was based while on a two-year Australia Awards Scholarship.

She holds a Master of Project Management (MPM) and Post Graduate Certificate in Management from the Central Queensland University (C.Q.U.).

Speaking about her appointment, Ms. Laumea-Pupualii said she is excited to be leading the KlickEx activities in Samoa.

“KlickEx is focused on providing game-changing money transfer services to the Pacific and I really want to spread the word in Samoa,” she said.

“For Samoa specifically, my role will be to help people sign-up with KlickEx before moving to New Zealand and Australia - this will ultimately make it easier for them to send money home and in addition support businesses to send money overseas from Samoa to Australia, New Zealand, and the U.S.A.”

Founded in 2009, KlickEx is all about bridging social and economic gaps. It is a payments infrastructure focused on providing cross-border transfer services and has been dedicated to its pursuit to provide Digital Financial Inclusion to the Pacific to allow consumers to send money back home to the islands from Australia and New Zealand.

KlickEx has been operating in Samoa for over 12 years, thanks to their long-standing money transfer partnerships with mobile operators Digicel (MyCash) and most recently Vodafone (M-Tala).

The company also operates Money Transfer services with WanTok and operates in Fiji, Tonga, and Vanuatu. Additionally, with its recent acquisition by NomuPay Ireland Limited based in Dublin, its reach and footprint has expanded globally.
