Yearly prices soar seven per cent

Families worried about the rising cost of putting food on the table table have had their fears confirmed by new figures showing household goods are nearly seven per cent more expensive than last year.

The “Consumer Price Index September 2021” issued by the Samoa Bureau of Statistics finds a year-on-year rise of 6.8 per cent in the cost of goods this September compared to last.
