La'auli hits back at Tuilaepa.

"That's enough, please."

This is the message from the Chairman of Fa'atuatua i le Atua Samoa ua Tasi (F.A.S.T.) when his opinion was sought following accusations from the Opposition leader, that he was one of the masterminds behind the roadblocks in Savai'i which forced a convoy protest by the Human Rights Protection Party (H.R.P.P.) in Savai'i to stop.

Last week, former Prime Minister and leader of H.R.P.P., Tuilaepa Dr. Sa'ilele Malielegaoi accused Laauli Leuatea Schmidt and former Head of States, Tui Atua Tupua Tamasese Efi of "pushing" matai and untitled men in Savai'i to block the roads.

However, La'auli flatly rejected the claims from Tuilaepa.

"I'm sure you're aware that Tuilaepa blames me for everything," La'auli told the Samoa Observer.

"Everything that happens in Samoa is my fault according to Tuilaepa. I am always the bad guy and I don't know why he's like that.

"You all heard what I said on the eve of their protest in Savai'i. We called for peace and unity.

"For us, that's our priority at the moment. We want to keep the peace and avoid any conflicts."

La'auli said he was getting used to the way Tuilaepa communicates.

"The ways he talks and the way he delivers his messages are not new to me," said La'auli.

"He is always blaming everyone but him.

"He needs to stop and look in the mirror first and foremost before he starts pointing fingers.

"He needs to stop and think hard enough, why we are in the situation we're in right now."

Recalling the events that unfolded in Savai'i when Tuilaepa and members of his party rallied in Savai'i, La'auli is of the belief that Tuilaepa got exactly what he had wanted.

"That is their plan, to incite violence and anger.

"They have stirred up peace and unity within the nation.

"They knew right from the start before they went to Savai'i that the constituencies in Savai'i were making concerns about their extraordinary move against the Chief Justice.

"They knew that Savai'i villages and elders are supporting and standing up for our judiciary and the new Government as the majority of the members (of the ruling government) are from the big island.

"They were also informed of the decisions from the other villages who declared their opposition to what they had planned.

"But what did they do? They still went ahead with their plans."

While La'auli says that the actions of the former P.M. and his party are "disappointing" he believes "it's time to stop."

"We have had enough of the blaming game and insulting words.

"As leaders, we need to come together and move forward together.

"Thousands of people are watching and praying for us to come together.

"And that's what we need and that's what we want more than anything at the moment.

"We need to do whatever it takes to keep the peace.

"That's enough!

"Enough of all these dirty politics and let us move forward for the sake of our people."
