New couple seals eternal love

June 26, 2021, will forever be etched in the hearts of Ellis Tafa’ifā Asiata Koneferenisi and Husein Shah Betham.
After courting each other for two years, the lovebirds said their “I do’s” and exchanged their vows before God, their families, and friends in holy matrimony during an emotional ceremony led by Reverend Taulafo Avei of the Satupa'itea Methodist church.
The bride is the one and only daughter out of Asiata Koneferenisi and Sepora's five children. Ellis is a teacher at Vaimoso Primary School and is from the villages of Safune and Satupa'itea.
The groom is from the villages of Vaimoso and Fagamalo and is the son of Christopher and Elenor Betham. He is a Registered Nurse.
The couple celebrated their union at the Methodist church at Satupa'itea, followed by a reception at Satupa'itea where they were joined by their loved ones to witness the special occasion.
As they look forward to embarking on this new journey as husband and wife, Mr. and Mrs. Betham reflected on their journey, crediting God's love and mercy for keeping them together.
Mrs. Betham admitted that it hasn't been an easy journey to where they are at the moment, however, she is a strong believer that "forgiveness, honesty, trust, and love" are key to a successful relationship.
In saying that, Mrs. Betham is confident that they will continue to rely on those factors to carry them through this new chapter of their lives.
Moreover, while the lovebirds celebrated their "dream wedding" on Saturday, they had wished their loved ones from overseas could join them on their special day, because of the closure of international borders, as preventive measures against COVID-19.
However, they did not let that get in the way of celebrating their special day.
Mrs. Betham acknowledged the strong support of their loved ones who came out to celebrate with them such a great milestone in their lives.
Nevertheless, she also expressed her sincere gratitude to their parents, siblings, and relatives who had been there for them, helping them to make their dream wedding come true.
Now that they have sealed the deal, Mr. and Mrs. Betham said they are more than ready for married life.
With God at the forefront, they believe they will conquer whatever challenges lie ahead of them.
