Seiuli Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson has sampled his own blood. His verdict? It tastes like “BlaMoan (black and Samoan) Hotsauce.”

During a more than spirited workout at the gym, the Samoan American movie star suffered a cut to the face that would require stitches, by throwing 50 pound (22.6 kilogram) chains a little wrong.

As the blood dripped down his face during a video shared to Instagram, Seiuli had himself a taste.

“That’s good,” he said in the video.

“Sometimes, well oftentimes, things get intense here in the iron paradise. But we ain’t playing tiddlywinks and we ain't reciting nursery rhymes.

“You get lumped up every once in a while and things happen.

“And I can confirm my blood tastes like Teremana, calluses and BlaMoan (black and samoan) Hot Sauce.”

Teremana is a new tequila brand that Seiuli founded. The tequila is made in small batches in Jalisco, Mexico is meant to be a responsibly sourced beverage. Seiuli works with the family owned distillery to get the product he wanted.

The first batches will be ready at the end of next year, he says.

Seiuli is currently filming Red Notice with Gal Gadot and Ryan Reynolds, directed by Rawson Marshall Thurber.

It is the third time Seiuli has worked with Mr. Thurber, and this time it is on a comedy action thriller about an Interpol agent chasing down a notorious an art thief.

So far, that is pretty much all that is known about this highly anticipated movie from the man behind Central Intelligence and Skyscraper.

Red Notice will be released on Netflix in 2021, after some COVID-19 induced delays in filming and production.

Seiuli said the team has “aggressive health and safety COVID-19 measures,” and are learning on the go as they continue working throughout the pandemic.

The film was announced 2018 and should have been released this year.

Earlier this month Seiuli was named the most-followed man in America, with 200 million followers on Instagram.

His video at the gym has been watched close to 26 million times in the two days it has been online, and most photos he posts get engaged with between three and five million times.
