A local restaurant and café, EnT’s, has collaborated with the National University of Samoa (N.U.S.) Visual Art in an art exhibition promoting the artworks of marketing students. The art exhibition opened last week.

The art agency is an independent non-profit student organization that promotes the arts and provides students with leadership skills, event planning, marketing and specialised training in the arts.

The Art Agency members comprise of students and art supporters.

In 2016 it won the 2nd Annual CSO Award for “Innovative Learning and Capacity Building - Visual Literacy Project,” it recognized the agency’s contribution in the development of vulnerable communities and advocating for the voice of the voiceless through innovative and well managed projects funded by the Government of Australia and European Union through the Civil Society Support Programme.

This year the agency has been able to collaborate with EnT’s co-owner’s Eira Aliitasia Elisara Scanlan and husband Tyson Scanlan.

“The charming friendly owners were excited when approached in promoting student work at their café and welcomed the idea of showcasing student art as well as selling their artworks,” a statement from the University reads.

It added that the EnT’s menu packs a punch ranging from their famous beef soup, omelettes, and desserts all with a local unique twist.

Customers will enjoy a view of the paintings while waiting for their meals, baked goods made by Mrs. Scanlan herself.

Members of the public have been invited to come have a look for themselves especially coffee lovers with a slice of homemade chocolate pie, éclair’s, lemon pie and scones for a nice afternoon break with friends and a loved one.

An informal reception was held last week to commemorate the event at EnT’s café Fugalei.
