Meet Miss Perseverance
Miss Samoa Victoria’s message, which she will preach as a lead up to the McDonald’s Miss Samoa Pageant 2017, will be ‘perseverance’.
It means the steadfastness in doing something, despite difficulty or delay in achieving success.
And that, says Adele Faaosofia, Miss Samoa Victoria, should speak volumes for Samoan women worldwide who are, at times, faced with formidable challenges without cause.
An assistant adviser with the National Australian Bank, Miss Samoa Victoria also sees the pageant as a positive voice for change.
That change, she says, is for all women to never give up in their dreams and aspirations, despite the obstacles and challenges.
“Perseverance, that is my platform,” says the 21-year-old owner of ‘Glamin with Adele’, a business which specialises in make-up services.
“I would also like to be the ambassador for anyone lacking or in need of support.”
The fourth in a family of six, Miss Samoa Victoria was raised by pastoral parents within the Christian faith.
This is reflected in her lifetime motto, to “follow the call of God, not the need of man.”
