Good Samaritans answer family’s call for help
The prayers of Luaipou Talito’elau have been answered.
Tatau Creation and the Federal Pacific Finance have offered to pay for the fare of the 32-year-old for her operation next week.
The companies are among a host of Good Samaritans who offered to help since their story featured in the Samoa Observer. Some of the helpers want to stay anonymous.
The eldest daughter of Tuualuga Faleatua and Faleatua Vaega from Malie were seeking assistance in paying their airfares to New Zealand for Luaipou’s valve surgery operation. Their story featured last week.
The Owner of Tatau Creation, Siatunuu Suluape and her husband, Suluape Paul said they were touched when they found out about Luaipou and they decided to help.
“Looking at the father of Luaipou seeking help for his daughter was like looking at my own, I contacted my husband immediately if there was any chance we could help this family,” she said.
“We were so overwhelmed with love and wanted to help, it is something that we must do. Whatever that we could offer, but as long as we could help this family in need.
“I was flicking through the newspaper and I saw the article about Luaipou Talito’elau seeking help.
“I believe that God is good and faithful to us no matter what, having the heart that is willing to help a person is good because at the end of the day we are all Samoans,” she added.
She said Tatau Creation offered to pay for Faleatua Vaega’s fare while Federal Pacific Finance will pay for the daughter’s fare.
Mr. Vaega was extremely grateful.
“I am lost for words to illustrate the love of God, I am very thankful because it was through Him, He has led people to come our way to help us.
“I am thankful to the Samoa Observer since they were the ones that voiced out our cry for help and we wouldn’t have met the Tatau Creation and Federal Pacific Finance. So praise God.”
He thanked everyone who has shown support to help save their daughter’s life.
He shared: “I am just a trivial man, but yet people have reached out to help us. So for all of those who have supported up with searching for treatment to help our daughter, we are grateful.
“Receiving a one tala or even two tala, for us we are thankful. I pray that God will bless each person abundantly.”
