A teenager and a woman are admitted in a critical state after being involved in separate accidents on Saturday.

The woman was hit by a car around 6 am in Lotopa. The incident is said to have happened near the Loibl Auto Parts in Lotopa.

According to information from the police, a 44-year-old man was later arrested and was found to have been allegedly intoxicated. He was being kept in custody.

In the second incident, a 15-year-old boy was hit by a car, which failed to stop after the accident. The incident happened in Lepea. The boy was taken to the hospital and is said to be in a critical condition.

Police have urged members of the public to come forward if they have information that would assist in the capture of the driver.
