Tafi sets new Oceania record

John Tafi has set a new Oceania record in the snatch category of the senior men's 71 kilogram division with a lift of 140kg in the IBFC Universal Championship at the Gym One in Tuanaimato.
Tafi powered his way with a comfortable 135kg lift in the first attempt and opted for 140kg in the second attempt, which did not go as planned.
However, in his third attempt, he showed determination and made the lift with ease, once again showing his potential.
He is yet to attempt the clean and jerk category.
