Electricity supply to all previously affected feeders has now been fully restored, following the unexpected power outages that disrupted several parts of the country earlier today.

In an official update, the Electricity Corporation of Samoa (EPC) thanked the public for their patience and understanding during the disruption. “We extend our sincere appreciation to the public. All affected feeders have now been fully restored,” the statement said.

The outage had impacted major areas, including the Alaoa South, South Coast, Palisi, Beach Road, Industrial, Lefaga, and East Coast feeders. The disruption caused inconvenience to households, businesses, and essential services, with many residents reporting interruptions to daily activities, internet services, and small business operations.

EPC earlier confirmed that the issue originated from repair works at the Fiaga Power Station, where technical teams were deployed immediately to identify and fix the fault. Engineers worked under pressure to ensure the safety and stability of the power system before gradually restoring electricity to the affected feeders.

EPC has reassured the public that continuous monitoring of the power system is underway to prevent similar incidents in the future. The corporation also encouraged residents to report any further irregularities in the electricity supply to ensure a prompt response.
