Of the 60-plus witnesses listed in the Falealili No.1 petition, only one showed up to court, prompting the court to adjourn the matter to this afternoon.

The petition was ordered to go ahead after the withdrawal application from petitioner Tuiloma Laniselota Lameko and respondent, Deputy Prime Minister, Toelupe Poumulinuku Onesemo.

Chief Justice Satiu Simativa Perese ordered the counsel for Tuiloma, Alex Sua, to contact the witnesses.

Sua informed the court that witnesses were not cooperative.

CJ Perese told Sua that he was irresponsible and that it was his duty as counsel to speak to the witnesses.

Out of more than 60 witnesses for the petitioner, only one witness turned up.

Sua also filed a memorandum to proceed with only two charges and dismiss all the bribery and treating charges against the counter-petitioner.
