Preparations start for swearing-in

Preparations are well underway at the Tuanaimato Multipurpose Complex ahead of the swearing-in ceremony of the members-elect and the first meeting of the 18th Parliament of Samoa next Tuesday.
Staff from the Legislative Assembly were seen cleaning seats, floors, and stairs in preparation for the swearing-in ceremony of the new Members of Parliament.
A stage is currently being constructed to replicate the traditional parliamentary layout for the swearing-in. Carpet will also be installed around the stage to complete the setup.
Clerk of the Legislative Assembly, Satama Leatisa Uitime, confirmed that preparations are expected to be completed by Monday.
A large crowd is anticipated, with many Samoans expected to gather at the venue to witness the occasion.
