Lima still claims Vaimauga 4 seat
The candidate for the Human Rights Protection Party (HRPP) for Vaimauga 4 has claimed the seat for this constituency after the official count on Monday morning at around 1:30am.
Lima has claimed 1137 votes while a female candidate who was running under the FAST Party, Tonuu Fuamoli Misi has won 949 votes altogether.
The independent candidate, Vaea Ivana Eli came third with 322 votes while former cabinet minister for Police, Faualo Harry Schuster with 173 votes.
The leader of the Samoa Labour Party, Faaolesa Katopau Ainu'u came fifth with only 21 votes he received after the final count.
There were 2602 valid votes for Vaimauga 4 with 10 informal votes recorded, 10 special votes and 182 number of people pre-polling.
Lima was a former Clerk of the Legislative Assembly for many years.
