Two-year-old latest dengue fatality

A two-year-old from Faleolo is believed to be the latest and youngest life claimed by dengue fever. Dengue has now claimed the lives of five children.
The family of the toddler was already dealing with the loss of their nine-year-old son, who died on early Thursday morning.
The government has extended the closure of schools for another week to address the increasing number of cases. The hospital has set up a dengue outpatient ward that is in operation 24 hours.
