Ale ready to contest
The former member of parliament for Faleata No.3 Ale Vena Ale said he has already registered as a candidate and will be contesting for the Faʻatuatua i le Atua Samoa ua Tasi (FAST) party.
He said he was fit and ready to serve his people for the next parliamentary term.
Ale has also dismissed rumours that he might go back to the Human Rights Protection Party.
When asked if there's a possibility that he would consider rejoining HRPP, he said, "Over my dead body, I would never go back to a party where I turned my back on."
Ale was hospitalised for a day at the Tupua Tamasese Meaole Hospital and has been discharged and is recovering at home.
Ale confirmed on Saturday that he had already registered as a candidate for the upcoming election.
"All of our candidates have already registered for the upcoming election," Ale responded.
Ale posted earlier on Thursday on his Facebook page acknowledging the people of his constituency for their prayers and that he has recovered.
He posted that he is ready for the upcoming general election and reminded the people of his Constituency to vote for him if they want freedom and peace for Samoa and also the Constituency.
Ale will be contesting against Pepe Christian Fruean, who is running under the umbrella of HRPP.
