Over 1,000 youths converge for church meet
The upcoming Young Single Adult (YSA) Convention of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is set to bring together over 1,300 young people from across Samoa and abroad.
Scheduled for 10–14 July 2025, the event will be held at the Church College of Pesega.
Sister Laban, who leads the logistics team with her husband, explained that the main goal of the YSA Convention is to strengthen and unite young adults.
“It’s a time for YSAs to feel a sense of belonging, to grow spiritually and socially, and to connect through service, activities and gospel learning,” she said.
The convention is open to all young single adults between the ages of 18 to 35. Participants will come from Upolu, Savai’i, and even from overseas.
It is expected to be one of the biggest church gatherings for young adults in Samoa since the last one was held in 2023.
Held every two years, the YSA Convention provides a safe and uplifting environment where young people can build friendships, grow their faith in Jesus Christ, and gain strength and support from one another.
With months of planning already underway, the excitement is building for what promises to be a fun, meaningful, and life-changing experience for all who attend.
