The trial of La'auli Leuatea Schmidt, Fepuleai Faimata Su'a, Samuelu Su'a, Sivai Kepi, Lise-Marie Schmidt and Li'o Fa'ataumalama has concluded after all six accused have chosen not to give evidence.

The six have denied charges of conspiracy, fabricating evidence, and defamation.

On Wednesday, the trial began with a prosecution witness giving evidence via a video link from Australia in the high-profile conspiracy trial, denied an evening walk with Sivai Kepi, where she showed her a vehicle belonging to Lealailepule. This was the last prosecution witness.

Poufa Ah Sio told the court that she was shocked when she came for her mother's funeral last year and was approached by police about her involvement in this matter.

Ms Ah Sio said she was not happy with her name being mentioned in a matter she doesn't even know about.

The District Court has set a date in October for final submissions.
