Good news, fuel prices drop
It’s good news in June, as there has been a huge drop in fuel prices across the board, bringing relief to many who rely on fuel either for transportation or business.
As of 1 June 2025, petrol will decrease by 10.9 sene per litre from $3.02 to $2.91 per litre, diesel will decrease by 12.1 sene per litre from $3.11 to $2.99 per litre, and kerosene will decrease by 12.2 sene per litre from $2.71 to $2.51 per litre.
According to the Ministry of Finance, the June prices are based on April 2025 Mean of Platts Singapore (MOPS) market prices.
“Further decreases in crude and refined product prices reflect the markets' uncertainty as to how the new USA Tariff policies will impact world economic growth,” said Minister for Finance Lauitimuia Uelese Vaai.
“The consensus view is that the policies will reduce economic growth, hence the demand for petroleum products will fall. The supply and demand curve currently favours lower prices; however, any disruption to supply could swing the curve the other way.”
