Malaeulu is new UTOS boss

Malaeulu Aysha Rimoni has been appointed the new Chief Executive Officer for the Unit Trust of Samoa (UTOS) for three years. 

Cabinet has endorsed the appointment of Malaeulu, a 31-year-old graduate from Otago University and former student of the Samoa College. 

The new CEO replaces Tevaga Viane Tagiilima who did not reapply for the position. There were four applicants including Malaeulu. 

According to the Press Secretariat, Malaeulu served the trust in the position of Chief Investment Analyst (ACEO level position), a three-year -term contract with UTOS for two full terms and was six months into her third term when she was appointed CEO. 

She was reappointed to her third-year term as ACEO Chief Investment in September 2024. 

She holds a Bachelor of Commerce (with Honours) in Information Science and a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance and Information Science from Otago University.
