Telecommunications provider Digicel Pacific announced Karl Vizvary's appointment as Digicel Samoa's new chief executive officer.

Vizvary takes over the role from Anthony Seuseu who stepped down from the role in November to return to New Zealand.

According to Digicel Pacific, Vizvary has worked in a variety of international markets in his telecommunications career with a particular emphasis on strategic expansion and innovation. 

Digicel Pacific said in a statement that Vizvary was well suited for Digicel Samoa because of his demonstrated leadership in established and up-and-coming brands.

The company described him as the perfect leader because of his extensive knowledge of digital technologies, customer experience, financial management and his track record of achieving market success.

"Karl's industry knowledge, strategic vision, and cultural alignment make him the perfect fit to lead Digicel Samoa into a future of continued success and growth," said Shally Jannif, CEO of Digicel Pacific Regional HUB Markets.

Vizvary arrived in Samoa on Saturday and officially started his role as CEO of Digicel Samoa on Monday.
