The Supreme Court has granted name suppression orders for the two complainants in the case against the suspended head coach of the Manu Samoa team.

Mase Mahonri Schwalger appeared in the Supreme Court this week and this time it was related to an application sought by the Attorney General’s Office.

He was represented by lawyer Leinafo Taimalelagi Strickland.

The prosecutor Maiavatele Timothy Fesili made the application to suppress the name of the complainants connected to the case.

Supreme Court Judge Justice Fepuleai Ameperosa Roma granted the suppression orders for the complainants.

Last week, Mase pleaded not guilty to seven criminal allegations against him.

His hearing has also been set for 28 April next year and bail conditions on the head coach remain.

On 30 September, the Lakapi Samoa Board suspended the Manu Samoa head coach effective immediately with the decision to be reviewed in three months which is due in December.

Mase succeeded the former Manu Samoa head coach Vaovasamanaia Seilala Mapusua with the appointment lasting a three-year term, starting in 2024 and extending to the end of the 2027 Rugby World Cup.
