Police look for missing teen

The Samoa Police, Prisons and Corrections Services has issued a public appeal for assistance in locating Melipa, an 18-year-old resident of Falelauniu-Tai and Neiafu. 

Melipa has been missing from her home since Thursday, 2 May 2024. 

According to reports, she was last seen between 3:00 am and 6:00 am on that morning, wearing a black t-shirt and a traditional ie lavalava.

Authorities are urging anyone with information regarding Melipa's whereabouts to come forward. Individuals can contact their nearest Police Station or call the hotline number 22222 to provide any relevant information.

The disappearance of Melipa has prompted concerns within the community, with friends, family, and officials alike expressing hopes for her safe return. 

Law enforcement agencies are actively investigating the case and are relying on the cooperation of the public to aid in their efforts.

As the search continues, residents are encouraged to remain vigilant and report any sightings or information that may assist in locating Melipa.
